Privacy Policy
FundHub360 connects university project teams with backers and supporters. Launch projects, raise funding, and bring innovation to life. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Effective date: September 13, 2026 · FundHub360 (fundhub360.com)
1. Who we are
FundHub360 (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website and services available at fundhub360.com (the “Platform”). We help university project teams raise funding, run competitions and showcases, and connect with backers, sponsors, faculty, and institutions.
For privacy questions, contact us at info@fundhub360.com.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to personal information we process when you visit the Platform, create an account, publish or back a campaign, join a competition, use sponsor or institution tools, or otherwise interact with our services. It does not apply to third-party websites or services we link to, including payment processors and university systems, which have their own privacy practices.
3. Information we collect
We collect information in three main ways: you provide it, it is collected automatically, and it comes from service providers or institutions you connect with.
- Account and profile data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role (for example student, faculty, backer, sponsor, or institution admin), university and department affiliations, company name for sponsors, and optional profile details you choose to add.
- Campaign and project content: project titles, descriptions, media, funding goals, team members, academic metadata, patent-prep worksheets, and other materials you upload or generate on the Platform.
- Transaction data: contribution amounts, payout and billing records, invoicing details, and limited payment metadata. Card numbers and bank credentials are processed by Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Competition and sponsorship data: entries, scores, judge assignments, prize tracks, matching-pool settings, and related diligence information you submit.
- Communications: messages you send to support, contact forms, onboarding answers, and feedback.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and diagnostic logs needed to secure and operate the Platform.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in our Cookie Policy.
4. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Platform, including accounts, campaigns, competitions, showcases, dashboards, and payments.
- Process contributions, fees, matching pools, prizes, and payouts through our payment partners.
- Verify academic affiliations where required (for example .edu email checks for certain roles).
- Send transactional email such as verification, password resets, receipts, campaign updates you opt into, and security notices.
- Provide optional AI-assisted features (for example search, comparisons, or diligence summaries) using content you make available to those features.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with law.
- Analyze aggregate usage to understand product performance (for example which features are used).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your campaign or contribution data to train third-party foundation models unless we clearly disclose that and obtain any required consent.
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in a jurisdiction that requires a legal basis for processing (including the EEA/UK), we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Platform you signed up for); legitimate interests (securing the service, improving features, preventing abuse) balanced against your rights; consent where we ask for it (for example certain cookies or marketing); and legal obligation when we must retain or disclose information.
7. Payments
Payments on FundHub360 are processed by Stripe. Stripe may collect identity and financial information directly from you under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment status, amounts, and identifiers needed for receipts, refunds, fees, and payouts.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including to maintain accounts, complete transactions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
10. International transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your home country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and appeal a denial of a privacy request. You can update many profile details in your account settings. To exercise other rights, email us at the address above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those messages. Transactional and security messages are still sent when necessary to operate your account.
12. Children
The Platform is intended for adults and university-affiliated users. FundHub360 does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date (September 13, 2026 or later). Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice when appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
